Great Wall of China – Badaling
Last month while combining business with pleasure I visited the Great Wall of China at Badaling. Before going to the wall I visited the Ming Dynasty Tombs where I learned how cold it can be. The temperature was around -10 degrees and the wall was scheduled after lunch. During this time of year (January) it can be very cold.
The tour started at 1PM and I had two hours to walk and explore the Great Wall. It was even colder than at the Ming Tombs with the cold mountain winds. I took some nice pictures and one panorama at the end. Thanks to Scott Kelby’s tips this time the panorama worked out perfectly.
Walking on the Great Wall is an unforgettable experience. The scale and history of this structure is hard to comprehend until you are standing on it.
